Dallas, TX – Wireless equipment distributor and servicer United Mobile Solutions (UMS), announced today that it plans to acquire RU Wireless – a T-Mobile master dealer currently serving the Austin and San Antonio markets.
RU Wireless, serving customers since 2000, will offer UMS resellers T-Mobile and other prepaid services. This additional local market expertise will embolden UMS’s ability to provide a wide product range and reliable of wholesale solution to resellers across southeast Texas.
According to UMS CEO David K. Lee, this is the first of several acquisitions expected to be announced this year.

RU Wireless will continue to operate independently as a wholly owned unit of UMS until the terms of the deal are finalized.
The transaction is structured as an acquisition of the assets of RU Wireless and the parties expect to close as soon as practicable.
