Norcross, GA – Wireless equipment distributor and servicer United Mobile Solutions (UMS), today announced plans to acquire a surface mount and technology repair company called Daewon Teletech.
Daewon Teletech, originally headquartered in South Korea but now operating in Dallas, Texas, brings its innovative refurbishing skill set to UMS in an effort to extend UMS bandwidth and better accommodate reseller reverse logistics needs.
Since April 2003, Daewon Teletech has provided end-user repairs and reverse logistics for manufacturers from seven South Korean markets.
“We are pleased to merge Daewon Teletech specialties with our current refurbishing and technical capabilities. We look forward to offering our resellers a more robust refurbishing, logistics, after-market service process in the coming months,” said UMS CEO David K. Lee.
The company will continue to operate independently as a wholly owned unit of UMS until the terms of the deal are finalized.
“Our independent resellers have come to trust our commitment to quality products well beyond short term profits,” said UMS CEO David K. Lee. “The benefits that Daewon Teletech’s methods will bring to our team will even further build dealer confidence in our products and services.”
Lee said this is the first of several acquisitions expected to be announced this year.
The transaction is structured as an acquisition of the assets of Daewon Teletech and the parties expect to close as soon as practicable.
